Akasha Teel, Intern
My name is Akasha Teel and I am in the 12th grade. I am currently an intern at North Pointe but I hope to be promoted to a staff reporter by the end of the school year. I’m looking forward to growing my writing skills and learning more about journalism itself. I am not in any school clubs, extracurriculars or teams this year because I wanted to focus on my job and saving money for college. However, I am interested in joining some clubs later into this school year. I had been swimming competitively for about 10 years before quitting in sophomore year. I wanted to push through the end of the season but they reinforced coming to morning practices at least twice a week so my season ended early.
