Ugg is one of the most popular sheep fur boot brands world wide and ships to over 130 countries. The brand is known for its comfortability, versatility and range of shoe styles. The Tasman Ugg has recently become popular on TikTok and Instagram, leading to the Chestnut shade being sold out at many major retailers including Nordstrom, Amazon and Anthropologie.
I purchased the Tasman Uggs back in October and I have worn them almost every single day. The Tasman Ugg provides high quality and the authentic sheep fur inside the shoe keeps my feet toasty despite the cold. The best thing about the Tasman Ugg is that it is a slipper for all occasions and can be worn both outside and inside.
I love that the Tasman Ugg is very versatile because I can either wear them with sweatpants, or I am able to dress them up with jeans and a sweater.
The Tasman Ugg features rich suede and is lined with genuine sheep fur and a classic woven braid at the collar of the shoe. Something I found interesting about the shoe is you would think the shoe would slip on your feet, since it is called a slipper, but interestingly enough it doesn’t. When you’re walking, they feel like a slide instead of a boot, not sliding off as a slipper would. They provide a snug fit so your foot isn’t slipping or sliding out and tripping over your shoes when in public.
The only downside of the Tasman Ugg is that for the high price you pay of $110, the shoe is not waterproof and lacks durability. After doing some extensive research, I found a special Ugg waterproof kit for $35 to be able to get some extra wear out of my shoes, which I would highly recommend purchasing. But this is also a downside because you pay $110 for the shoe and then on top of that have to spend another $35 to keep the shoes extra durable. But, without this kit, users should be cautious of any water.
Overall I’d give the shoes a rating of 4.5/5 stars because the Tasman Ugg is a perfect snug fit with warmth and comfort, but does not hold up as well as I’d hope for the high price. I would highly recommend purchasing the shoe if you are looking for something popular and made for comfort and style. I also would purchase the shoe again in specifically the Chestnut color, but unfortunately as I mentioned, it is extremely hard to find at the moment.
