There’s a new restaurant called Sidecar Slider Bar that’s opened its doors recently and it is located at 17051 Kercheval Ave in The Village of Grosse Pointe. The restaurant is called Sidecar Slider Bar and it’s definitely worth a try. Walking up to the restaurant, the black building stands out from everything else, as well as the smell of the food that invitingly rushes through the air. Walking inside you’re met with white and black colors and flat-screen TVs lining the walls with various sports playing.
The hostess greeted us and we were seated immediately. The menu had many options to choose from like soups and salads, pizza and of course, sliders. I ordered the Drive-Thru slider which is like a normal cheeseburger, while my friend ordered the Mush and Swiss slider. Each slider was $5.50 and we ordered a large fry for $7 to share. We split the bill and my total was $8.91. We both only ordered one slider so ordering two would put your total to about $11. We got our food quickly, and it was really good. Both the sliders and the fries had a lot of flavor but were not overly seasoned and everything was cooked perfectly.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was very lively and the employees were all very kind. Their hours every day are from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. so if you’re ever hungry late and crave a quick and delicious meal it could be a good option.
Although the food and atmosphere were good, the music was too loud to have a conversation. Also, depending on how you plan on paying, there will be an additional charge added. I paid with cash, and my friend paid with a card so although our totals were the same, she ended up paying more than I did because she paid with a card. All in all I give the restaurant a 4.5/5 star rating.
