Keeping it Brief: Five things you need to know for the week of March 26-30

  1. “Ready Player One” premiers in theaters on Thursday, March 29th.  This movie is about a teenager living in a post-apocalyptic, near future version of our world.  In this reality, citizens can access a virtual, video-game like world, where the only limits are your imagination.  In this digital wonder land, however, dangers lurk when the protagonist attempts to win a competition for the grand prize of the deceased creator’s fortune.  Tickets can be bought here.
  2. The Sound of Music is being performed at the Fox Theater from March 30-31.  Seeing the live-action version of this classic movie is certainly an experience that differs from that of the movie while, still being entertaining. Tickets can be bought here.
  3. “Far Cry 5”, the fifth installment in the Far Cry series releases on Tuesday, March 27th.  The game centers around a rural town where a religious cult leader has taken over and spread his cruel beliefs to all of the citizens.  Playing as the protagonist, you must find a way to shut the leader down and regain control over the once pleasant town.   4. Fort Wayne in Detroit is holding an Easter fun fest on March 31st.  Expect to find activities ranging from egg hunts to races and games.  More info here.
  5. Justin Timberlake will be performing at the Little Caesars arena on Monday, April 2nd.  This concert is part of his “Man of the Woods” tour, in accordance with the release of his new album.  Tickets can be bought here.
