HOPE THROUGH HELP | Face Addiction Now Director of Community Education, Madie Tortomasi, believes that there is so much hope to recover from substance use disorder and no one should let it consume them. “There’s a lot of resources available, so if anyone is struggling you simply can just Google ‘substance use resources in my community’ and it’s easier now than ever to find treatment and to find resources to be able to help them quit whatever they may be addicted to,” Tortomasi said.

It’s the end of a sports era at North, with senior softball captain Natalie Babcock finishing her final few games, the decades-long streak of Babcocks’ representing the green and gold is coming to a close. Babcock has had a lot of success over the past four years making a couple of playoff runs, but none quite as deep and as memorable as last season. “Like last year, winning for basketball and softball was just amazing. It was a great experience. And then we got to go to state quarters, that was probably the best,” Babcock said. As one of the best athletes in the whole school Babcock has improved greatly over the past four years working with her coaches molding her into the player she is now. “I'd probably say the coaches,” Babcock said. “I've been on the team since I was a freshman, And they have made me grow to where I am today.”
