Dance team with Tessa Ragle:
Even though sophomore Tessa Ragle has been dancing for the past 12 years, she just joined North’s dance team this year.
Although she hasn’t been on the team long, Ragle has seen it at its best and is thrilled with the atmosphere the girls provide for each other, which is what she thinks is so wonderful about the team.
“We get to be in a positive environment outside of our studios and the friendships we get to make,” Ragle said.
With each new school year, brand new goals are also set for the dance team. This year, the team is setting its sights on group unity, coordination and partnership.
“Our goals this year are just to be a cohesive team and really work together and form good bonds,” Ragle said.
Varsity wrestling with Preston Auld:
After being recognized as a regional and state qualifier, senior wrestling captain Preston Auld has decided to dedicate his winter season to wrestling once again.
Although wrestling is an individual sport, the team is a crucial part of improving skills. According to Auld, the team’s motivation inspires him to compete with full effort.
“The energy of the team usually is pretty high, which helps out the whole team because you really need the high energy for meets,” Auld said.
Taking up a leadership role this year, Auld hopes to help the rest of the team become the best they can be.
“There’s a lot of new faces and young kids, I just want to give back and try to teach them everything I know,” Auld said.
