1. Winnie the Pooh series to induct new character

The beloved children’s series Winnie the Pooh, is approaching its 90th anniversary, and to commemorate, Penguin, a new character, will debut in the new book The Best Bear in All the World. The new book will be available for sale on October 25. Read more on the new character here.

2. Magnificent Seven premieres

The highly anticipated reboot of the 1960s film depicts a group of western townsfolk rebelling against their controlling leader. The star studded cast includes celebrities like Denzel Washington (Chisolm), Chris Pratt (Josh Faraday) and Ethan Hawke (Goodnight Robicheaux). Magnificent Seven premieres in theatres Sept. 23. 3. Presidential nominees to face off in debate

The first highly anticipated head to head debate for Republican and Democrat nominees Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton will air on NBC on Sept. 26. Read about four things to keep an eye out for during the debate here.

4. Cascade Mall killer faces trial

Arcan Cetin, the man accused with the deadly Cascade Mall shooting in Washington state on Sept. 24 faces up to five counts of murder in court. Prosecutors have been given until Oct. 26 to file charges, at which point a court date will be set. Get more information of the sequence of events here.

5. Arnold Palmer passes away at 87

Famous golfer and entrepreneur Arnold Palmer passed away on Sept. 25 in Pittsburg home. Palmer left behind his historical golf legacy and pop culture mark with his hugely popular drink, the Arnold Palmer, which is a blend of black tea and lemonade. Read more about Palmer’s history here.
