  1. Fate of America will be decided on Tuesday

As campaigning draws to a close, Republican nominee Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton will face off on election day to see who becomes the 45th president. The Senate and House of Representatives along with local proposals and officials will be voted on too. Polls currently have Clinton winning, but they aren’t counting Trump out either.   1. Investigators find suspected coordinator of attack in Paris, Brussels last year

Thirty-two-year-old Oussama Ahmad Atar (also known as Abu Ahmad) has been linked to the attacks in Paris and Brussels last March. Also, the bombers in the Brussels attack, Ibrahim and Khalid el-Bakraoui, are distant cousins of Atar. Atar is believed to be one of the highest ranked in the Brussels region of the Islamic State and is said to have radicalized one of the Bakraoui brothers. To learn more, click this link.

  1. Pulse nightclub to be turned into memorial

The city of Orlando, Florida has come to an agreement with Pulse Nightclub, and it will be turned into a memorial. The shooting occurred in June at the lesbian and gay nightclub, and is the largest mass shooting in the nation’s history. The building measures to 4,400 square feet and is appraised at $1.65 million, but the for-sale price is 2.25 million dollars. Orlando mayor Buddy Dyer stated that the city isn’t in a hurry to change anything. To read more, click here.

  1. Judge orders psychological evaluation on Dylann Roof

An evaluation of Dylann Roof will deem whether Roof is mentally fit to stand trial for the nine black church members he murdered in Charleston, South Carolina in June 2015. He shot the nine victims at a bible study at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in hopes of initiating a “race war.” The jury decision on death penalty will be pushed back to Nov. 21 as a result.   1. Cost of building new Little Caesars Arena rises to $733 million

Even without the addition of the Detroit Pistons relocating their stadium to downtown Detroit, the building cost of the new Little Caesars Arena rose $105 million. Some of the reasons the arena jumped in cost was because of items like materials, permits and design refinements. Construction started last year, but the flamboyant citymark is expected to open next fall. To read more, click here.
