Faces in the crowd: Senior Jacob Foulkrod
February 3, 2017
Sports are a big part of many people’s lives, and many students play for high school teams. Senior Jacob Foulkrod does something a little different.
Foulkrod plays federation baseball. This type of baseball involves travelling around the state or even the country.
Foulkrod started the sport when has was 10. After Little League, he realized that he liked the sport and was good at it, so he wanted to play more.
“I like hitting and all the strategy that goes into the game,” Foulkrod said.
However, he injured his knee during basketball last year and stopped playing sports temporarily. While attempting to get a ball, he slammed his knee into the brick wall.
Now, it’s all healed and he should be able to get back into the game in a few months.
“I thought from a young age (baseball) was very fun to do,” Foulkrod said. “I thought I had a natural talent for it since Little League.”
