With the rising trend of Dubai Chocolate seen across the media, there are many different ways people have started to incorporate it into a delicious dessert that can be enjoyed outside of Dubai. Located at 280 East Merrill St, Birmingham, Choco Mania has a wide variety of different styles of desserts. They are open weekdays from 11 a.m.-10 p.m., but on the weekends they are open until 12 a.m. for a late night treat.
As we entered Choco Mania, we were immediately drawn into the luxurious atmosphere. The store is filled with marble and gold accents with plenty of seating. We felt a sense of richness and elegance you would get if you were in Dubai. When we arrived at the counter, we were greeted by a very welcoming employee who was ready to serve us and help with any questions we had.
The menu consisted of varying options including crepes, sundae cups, rolled ice cream, fresh juices, lattes and more. Through the holidays, Choco Mania makes sure to incorporate holiday spirit into their treats and their store. During Valentine’s Day, the store dyed their pistachio mix pink and red to showcase their holiday spirit.
We were most excited to try the viral Dubai Chocolate covered strawberries. For $25.00 the cup was filled to the rim with an overload of strawberries and the chocolate dubai mix. They carefully layered the cup to ensure each bite contained a perfect blend of flavors. The base layer featured fresh, sweet strawberries, followed by a rich and smooth chocolate layer. Finally, the pistachio mix added a delightful crunch. We ordered one Dubai Chocolate Strawberry cup, making it a perfect treat to share. While this treat was delicious, the price didn’t quite match the taste, earning Choco Mania a 4/5 rating.
