(Track & Field at Lawrence Technological University) “My favorite memory from North Athletics was my comeback season from my junior year. I had my first cross country season over with and had missed states by one-tenth of a second to qualify with a 20:15. After that, during track season, I had a minor sprain that kept me out for two weeks, but I came back and went to states for one event. This year was my second and last cross country season. I went through a breakthrough and was the top runner most of the season and had an incredible difference in time. Instead of being short by a little second to get 15th place, I ran a 19:22 and placed 10th qualifying for states, ending my season being MVP and was 7 seconds away from being on the gym record board in just my second season being on the team.”
