KIB: Week of 4/16

  1. “Super Troopers 2” will premiere in theaters Friday, April 20. The movie is not yet rated, but it is a comedy/mystery movie. The first “Super Troopers”  got a 90 percent Rotten Tomatoes rating from the audience. You can buy tickets to the movie here.
  2. Echosmith will be in Detroit on Wednesday, April 18 at the Magic Stick downtown. On this tour, they will be performing their newest album- which has not been released- along with songs off their old album, “Talking Dreams”, including their songs “Cool Kids” and “Bright”.   3. The United States, United Kingdom and France bombed Syria several times on Friday, April 13. President Trump tweeted out that the weapons would be used soon but didn’t say exactly when, however he has been wanting to do this since the start of his presidency . The bombing has been anticipated since 2014 when the U.S. originally got involved by taking in syrian refugees. For more information about Friday’s events, click here.
  4. “Comic Con” will be happening in Ypsilanti at the Matthews United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 21. It is three dollars per person to get in, and the event runs from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.It will feature people like the Detroit GhostBusters and Ken Macgregor.  You can find out more information here and here.
  5. The Detroit Tigers will play the Baltimore Orioles at Comerica Park on Tuesday, April 17 at 6:40 p.m. The Tigers have a 4-9 record for this season and the Orioles have a 5-11. The Tigers game against the Yankees on Sunday, April 15  was postponed due to inclimate weather. You can buy tickets to Tuesday’s game here.
