  1. “Love, Simon” premiered Friday, March 16 and earned a 90 percent rating in Rotten Tomatoes. It is about a teenage boy named Simon who is done living by the world’s rules and is ready to come out as gay after talking to a secret person on the internet. Buy tickets here.
  2. “Midnight Sun” will premiere this Friday, March 23. However, the movie is available as early as Thursday the 22 at 7 p.m at select theaters. It has not yet been rated by Rotten Tomatoes. The movie is about a girl who is severely allergic to the sun and can only go out at night. She eventually meets a guy and they fall in love. You can purchase tickets here.
  3. Drake Bell will be at the Loving Touch theater in Ferndale on Wednesday, March 21. The former Nickelodeon star will be performing music alongside Tryon, Joe Kirk and Ronny Tibbs. Doors open at 7 p.m. and is a general admission concert. You can buy tickets here.
  4. “Fortnite” is a widely known game for Xbox, Playstation and PC but as of March 14, you can now get the game on IOS. The app is exactly like the console version with different controls. It is temporarily an invite only event to prevent servers from crashing. However, this should change within the coming months. Download the game here.
  5. North’s band and orchestra will perform at Detroit Symphony Orchestra on Sunday, March 15 at 3 p.m. Some of the musical pieces performed will include Bohemian Rhapsody and Hyland Legend. Tickets are 30-35 dollars and are available at Wild Birds Unlimited or at the door.
