From the colorful graphics, the catchy theme song and irresistible interactive components, Kahoot has been the learning platform teachers and students rely on when it comes to breaking free from the traditional barriers of education.

Kahoot first served as a collaborative and educational platform that instills competition and the willingness to learn in students. Since then, the Kahoot has released a new app that both educators and students can benefit from.

In the app, students and teachers are able to easily access game-based learning exercises outside of the classroom. The Kahoot app caters to students who rely on technology, gives them the opportunity to review educational material and is an easy-to-use platform while also allowing teachers to easily create and even grade different Kahoot exercises. When compared to the original Kahoot online platform, the new app is noticeably different. Although there are similar features such as the leader board and enticing background music, the Kahoot app takes game-based platform learning to another level.

Kahoot provides students with a refreshing and convenient spin on gamification, but it also has new features that can help boost students’ intelligence and interests. Some new features include 20 million public Kahoot quizzes, video tutorials and the ability to create and compete with other Kahoot users around the world. In the video tutorials, teachers and other educators are able to insert their own lessons to assist students and publicly share with others on the app. With the app’s creative and useful features, it also gives students the opportunity to play against others and allows them to partake in healthy competition. Additional features include homework games that teachers can grade and other miscellaneous trivia diversions that students can play for fun. With these additions, it uniquely reinforces topics that are taught during the school day.

The Kahoot app is undeniably crisp, and provides students and teachers with a myriad of learning tools that can reduce the negative stigmas that come along with homework and education – features that differ from other online learning tools such as Quizlet and XMind.
