What's up, My name is Wren Cueter and I’m a senior at Grosse Pointe North. I love acting and singing and I’m currently a part of North's production of “Beauty and the Beast.” I love films and find it super interesting how they’re made. One of my favorite movies is called “Paris, Texas.” I also love music and love listening to and making songs. This year on North Pointe I hope to learn more and more about journalism and what it takes to be a journalist.

DRAWN TO THE ART | Viewing art from a detailed perspective is something the director of education for the DIA Jason Gillespie values most about contemporary art. In his program, Gillespie analyzed art from a selection of paintings from the DIA to show identity, power and representation in the art. “You think about the beautiful artwork that was created in the 17th and 1800s by enslaved African Americans in the South,” Gillespie said. “How could somebody living in those conditions create art? Thats power within. Its helpful to have this understanding of artwork and think about the power within a person.”

MEND & STITCH| A lover of challenges, Bryan Schuerman is ready to learn and lead in a new environment. He is prepping and planning diligently to bring FCCLA’s roots into North no matter how small it starts out. “I can take a small group and grow it, it doesn’t necessarily have to be large,” Scheurman said. “I personally have a strong passion for this organization because I wouldnt be sitting here today if it wasn’t for that.”
