“Love Yourself” by Justin Bieber, “Yesterday” by The Beatles, “Free Fallin’” by Tom Petty, these are just some of the songs freshman Sam Salisbury has covered on his Youtube channel.

“I sing mostly acoustic songs,” Salisbury said. “(The song) doesn’t have to be like that in the original song, I kind of flip them to how I want them to sound for my style.”

To accompany his acoustic style, Salisbury plays guitar in his videos, which he picked up two years ago.
Making Youtube videos isn’t the only thing on Salisbury’s musical plate, he also performs in his church band.

“I do my Youtube channel once every so often, I haven’t put one up lately, but I also play guitar in the youth band at my church, which is pretty cool and that keeps me busy.”

Salisbury has some exciting plans coming up with his church band.

“We are going on our big retreat trip in a few weeks,” Salisbury said. “I am playing there which will be a lot of fun.”
