Andrew Lock achieves 150th wrestling win

After eight years of sweat, bloody noses, takedowns and pins, senior Andrew Lock made it to individual states in wrestling.

“It was a step in the right direction because, I’ve lost the one round every year, so actually being able to do it is a big accomplishment for me,” Lock said.

On the path to states, Lock also surpassed 150 wins.

“We’re not the greatest team so any individual achievements are what the focus is, and just being able to get that 150th win made up for all of the wack-ish team events,” Lock said.

He has done multiple things to improve himself during the offseason, like lifting weights and competing with other teams. Lock also spent 28 days at the J Robinson Intensive Wrestling Camp, one of the hardest camps in the country.

Regardless of how states goes, Lock will continue his wrestling in college.

“It’s just a stopping point for my real goal: to go all-state during my wrestling in college.”
